Our family had the privilege of knowing Ken through his sister, June Marker, for more than 22 years. During that time he would regularly visit June on the Central Coast, and we were lucky enough to spend time with him on many of those trips. Ken brought plenty of laughs and was one of the kindest blokes our family had ever met. He had a real sense of adventure and loved his drives to New South Wales and beyond, catching up with friends along the way. He was a true gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. June always admired how hands-on Ken was with everything. He had incredible mechanical knowledge, along with a strong sense of loyalty to his family and a phenomenalwork ethic, especially during his years with Holden. June always looked forward to his visits and the chance to share stories about life and what was happening in their worlds. My children also had the privilege of spending time with Ken. Whenever he visited June on the Coast, he would happily join the kids in the backyard, kicking a ball around with them and playing with Timmy, June’s dog. His warmth, humour and playful spirit left a real impression on all of us. You don’t meet many men in their 80s who are keen to go snowboarding, but that was Ken. He was always willing to give things a go. It’s very sad that Ken is no longer with us. He will be sorely missed, We were grateful to have known Ken and to have had so many impactful memories with him over the years. Our deepest Sympathies to Fiona and family. Love from Joshua, Eva, Nicole and June
