A service to celebrate the life of Alan Ripper will be held on Friday September 5th at 10am in the Federation Chapel Lilydale Memorial Park, 128 Victoria Rd Lilydale.
The service will be followed by a burial in the cemetery grounds and light refreshments in the Candlebark Room.

I would like to thank everyone that attended or watched the livestream service for Alan James Ripper. Dad was a wonderful man with so many great friends and family. To William Mathews Funerals thank you for an amazing event to celebrate dad's life. I am truly going to miss him, he was a fantastic father to Tracey & I, also husband to Shirley. His wisdom had saved my life multiple times, when the doctors told me I had gastro, dad made a judgement call to take me to hospital and while in the waiting room my appendix bursts. If not for him, I would not be here today. You will always be my hero dad. I love you and may you rest in peace.
Rest well Al. Thankyou for being a wonderful teacher and colleague, I will never forget your generosity of time and knowledge in helping me learn about the industry you were so passionate about. You so kindly greeted me on my first day and priceeded to show me the ropes until your last day of work, for that I am forever grateful. We worked hard, but shared many laughs, and yes we always knew when you were in the office! Here's to you Al, a gentleman and stalwart of our wonderful transport industry.
