We were fortunate to work alongside Bill, a colleague who had a rare gift for brightening even the most ordinary mornings. Before the start bell, he could always be sharing a joke or spinning a story—one you were never quite sure was true, but it made you smile all the same. Bill had a playful spirit; he’d sometimes hand you a bent or oddly shaped metal part with a straight face and suggest you take it home—"It’d look good on your kitchen wall," he’d say. A devoted Hawthorn supporter, he often admitted he couldn’t bear to watch or listen to the games because they were just too stressful. He always had a soft spot for the younger ones, happy to share some guidance followed with a joke. These small moments, full of humor, generosity, and heart, are what we’ll remember most. Bill will be missed. We just hope wherever he is now, the footy team's winning, the stories are still flowing—and someone’s got a nice bit of scrap metal hanging proudly in their celestial kitchen.

It’s hard to find the right words when someone no longer with us. I just want to take a moment to honor and remember my brother-in-law — someone who truly made a difference. He wasn’t just family by marriage — he was family, period. The kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, show up when you needed him most, and somehow always know how to make you laugh. He had this way of making people feel at home — no matter who you were or where you came from. He didn’t need to say much to show he cared; We’ll miss his stories, I will carry his memory with me — in the way he treated others Thanks for being an amazing brother in law . I will never forgot you or the love you had for mavis and the boys
