I was very sorry to learn of the passing of Jo Koch. I will be forever grateful to Jo for her support with my research on her aunt, Pearl Jephcott. Jo generously shared all she had, Pearl, which, in turn, has made an enormous difference to a whole community of researchers and students now interested in Pearl Jpehcott's legacy. Jo was key to unlocking much of the story, and we will continue to remember Jo's role in the writing we do next. RIP. John Goodwin, Leicester, UK.
