A service to celebrate the life of Allen Joseph McNamara will be held at 11:45am on Monday the 21st of September in the Federation chapel at Lilydale Memorial Park, 126-128 Victoria Road, Lilydale. The service can be watched on the day by clicking the livestream button below. Following the service, there will be a burial and then light refreshments in the Candlebark room

So sorry to hear of Allen's loss, which will be felt by many. He was a wonderful community-minded man, cheerful and determined in the face of adversity and a good neighbour to all. Heart-felt condolences to Jamie, Alan and their families.

We always looked forward to visiting Sybil and Allen at Lilydale. It was an adventure to a wild frontier. You never knew what you would get, from catching eels to being chucked over the back fence to find your way home. But you always knew that it would be loud and lots of laughter.
