June will be sadly missed in the netball world. Her contribution in encouraging umpires to excel to the next leave, —- we thank her for that. She extended herself out coaching at Waverley,Slaters reserve, and in the early days State League, interstate and overseas. She made many friends but No stronger friend than Jan Cross of 62yrs Condolences to her large family and friends.

June I will always remember that beautiful smile and the warm welcome you always showed me. Watching your service on line today showed how much you were loved by your whole family and friends.....so very special. I was always very happy to see you and Jan as umpires on any of my matches not only were you good umpires but you enjoyed what you did and it showed. Your contribution to Netball will always be remembered. Thank you June.

June will be dearly missed by her Slater Netball crew. She was always there sitting at the table, ringing the bell, providing advice and encouragement to players and making sure that the competition ran smoothly. Everyone at netball, speaks highly of June and her kindness and welcoming nature has been greatly appreciated by all. I was lucky enough to visit her prior to Christmas and all she talked about was her wonderful family and how lucky she was that they took such good care of her - a clear reflection of the care and love she has provided them. Unfortunately I was unable to make the funeral in person, but was lucky enough to be part of it via the live stream. My sincerest condolences to the family (and especially Jodi), and please know that she was much loved and appreciated by all of us.

On behalf of Waverley Night NA and Waverley Netball Centre members, we send our condolences to the large much loved family of June's. June had an influence on many of the Umpires that have been a part of and come through Waverley since the 80's. For many years she supervised and mentored the umpires on a Tuesday night and in her later days on a Thursday night also. An All-Australia Umpire, a well-respected umpire educator, WNNA Service Award Holder, Netball Victoria Life Member and much more. June loved er Netball and had many friends in Netball. She loved to travel and support the Australian team and travel back to her homeland of England. On behalf of the George Family, June dedicated years to netball at Waverley and we have many great memories. She will be reunited with Bernie and Anne will have her blowing a whistle and organising the umpires in not time! Michelle & Ian George
